dineout – For The Days When The Kitchen Is Closed Because Mom Had It!
You guys know how I love being a sloth. Not the one that idles by the fork of a tree, but the one who revels in the corner of a cave with nothing else but a laptop. I like my own world and I’m just too lazy to come out of it.
Then Food Drifter knocks on my email about a bloggers’ meet for a dining out app and suddenly I am interested.
How come?
You see I love cooking. So much so, often my weekends turn into cooking marathons with me churning one thing after another. I try to make sure what I cooked is nutritious, is not what I cooked last week, and is strictly non-Indian (because I spice enough Indian dishes on the weekdays). However, as soon as the week starts, I get absolutely disinterested in cooking. I mean look at what I cooked today – paneer parantha, because it is the easiest parantha. What I am going to cook tomorrow – tempered curd. This is so typical of my weekdays. I desperately need a break.
And that is why I instantly said yes to Food Drifter’s invite for checking out the restaurant reservation app dineout. I want my weekly way out of cooking dinner, and dineout might just be my knight in shining armor.
The meet was held at Gadang Sports Bar + Saffron at The Park Plaza in Bangalore. The place was chilled, company was nice, drinks were enjoyable and dineout’s presentation looked tight. It turned out to be an awesome Saturday.
I came back home and tried my hands at the app. The app is clean and sleek. It is absolutely easy to use and is free of any unnecessary clutter. Most of all, it gets the job done. Finding out a place and booking a table at it is so easy, it is actually funny.
If that is not enough, you will always find offers and discounts on one thing or the other thus saving you as much as 30%. And if even that’s not enough, you can use my coupon code BHAWNADO for additional discount on your bill.
At the event, I learned about this fantastic app. And I learned something about myself too –
Oh boy! I can tweet!
Here are a few glimpses from that amazing evening –
