Candy Cane Sugar Cookies
Little B was to celebrate her birthday in school and I wanted to send something ‘homemade’ for her friends. Yes, since I have become a mother, I have become sucker for ‘homemade’ and ‘wheat flour’ and I don’t know why. So here I was looking for some inspiration on the internet.
My go-to place for any of such inspiration is usually Laura in the Kitchen. I love you Laura Vitale because you always have the simplest of ingredients and easiest of recipes. I found her Candy Cane Sugar Cookies recipe and I followed it to the word. The only difference is that I substituted coconut milk for milk because I love the subtle flavor that coconut milk adds to baked goods.
I first made a batch of red and white cookies.
I had some green food coloring at hand so decided to make another batch of green and white as well.
The results were amazing – cookies beautiful to look at and delicious to enjoy!
