Since Mangalyaan’s successful placement in the orbit of Mars, me and Little B are exploring everything space – spacecrafts, satellites, solar system and every other thing that moves and goes up in the sky. And today we found out we can send our names to Mars.
Every time Little B wants to play Lego, she wants to play with all sets together. And every time she is done playing, I have to clean up by sorting and storing them in a couple of different ways. This storing was making me go mad!
Isn’t there an easier way to organize Lego which makes playing with it and cleaning afterwards simpler?
I asked her what she would want to dress up as and she instantly replied “The Cat in The Hat.” Huh! Really! I thought The Cat in the Hat was last year’s craze. Remember her 3rd birthday party? Nevertheless, I promised her to give The Cat in the Hat costume a try.
Over a period of time Little B has round up quite a lot of Eric Carle in her collection. She reads The Very Hungry Caterpillar the same way she did when she was a year old. Poking fingers in the holes, amazed at the amount of food, laughing at caterpillar’s stomach ache and most of all looking at the very bright, lively and charming pictures.
I am not going to ask my daughter to stop dreaming because she might get a few nightmares along the way. I am not going to ask her to stop hiking in woods alone because she might find a stranger there. I am not going to stop her from picking up bees in her palm because one of them might sting.
We have enjoyed watching Family Guy together. Actually the feeling is more than enjoy. We actually get a kick out of watching it. Others might consider Seth MacFarlane trashy, we consider him an evil genius. Family Guy is one of ‘OUR’ things that we do together as a couple. It’s like when we feel a little distant from one another, Family Guy brings us back in each other’s arms.
So for this year, we focused our anniversary card making efforts on Family Guy.
Separately we were weird enough that people complain. And now that we are together, we are weirdest of them all.
P.S. Maybe we all are weird in a way. Maybe that’s why we all fall in love after all.
My two and a half-year-old daughter is obsessed with ‘Wreck it Ralph‘ at the moment. She loved wrecking, she loves fixing. How she complements me “Ma you one dynamite gal.”
