Quick Chunky Guacamole
What is Guacamole?
It is dip, it is a condiment, it is a salad ingredient – it is a snack in itself!
Seriously, I am obsessed with guacamole. In fact, I am obsessed with avocados. They are super healthy and can be eaten raw. Just peel them and take a bite!
I don’t want to sound arrogant but I can prepare guacamole in a jiffy. Thanks to this basic and quick and yet flavorful recipe.
What Do You Need
1 large avocado (choose a one which is ripe, soft in feel and yet doesn’t seem overripe or too mushy)
Few coriander sprigs
1 clove garlic
1/2 lemon
Salt and pepper to taste
How To Go About It
Half, seed and them peel the avocado. Dice it up coarsely.
Finely chop garlic clove and coriander.
Toss avocado, coriander, garlic along with salt and pepper in a bowl. Squeeze in juice from the lemon.
Roughly mix all the ingredients together using a fork. Make sure you don’t overdo this mixing as you want the guacamole to be chunky.
Yeah and that is it!
Make sure to chill it in the refrigerator for at least half an hour before serving.
As with any other dip, there are a lot of different ways that guacamole can be prepared. In each preparation, the focus will remain on avocados. The other ingredients, however, may change. You can add in onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, chilli and many other similar ingredients.
Guacamole is also a perfect food for infants. It is rich in fat and is easy to mash. I remember giving Little B just avocado with lime juice or avocado with tomato pureed mixed in.
