Anniversary Card With Lots of Kisses
I got married in summers, in Delhi.
If someone has a summer marriage in let’s say Chicago, where summer means sitting by Lake Michigan’s shoreline, hiking in the woods and dreaming of dreamy midsummer night dreams, it would be oh so romantic.
But not in Delhi. Not at all in Delhi. In Delhi, summer means sweat-soaked clothes, irritable everything and restless days and nights. Marrying in summer in Delhi is everything opposite of romantic. But I was desperate or more like desperately in love. Waiting was not an option.
And so I got married in summer, in Delhi.
I am living in a much cooler city now. Still, as soon as the mercury starts rising, I can’t help but just think about our anniversary. And the card handmade card we make for each other.
I have mentioned it a couple of times that Mr B and I have kind-of this tradition to make anniversary cards of each other (kind-of because there have been times when we have not followed it).
(Check our Family Guy anniversary card for 2014 – here.)
I would like to start my Summer With YellowMellowLife – Blogging From A to Z Challenge, by this easy card idea which is especially for those who love Hershey’s Kisses.
Handmade Anniversary Card Idea for Chocolate Lovers
Making this card is simple. Four rectangles of different sizes are layered. The “KISSES” labels that one gets with Hershey’s Kisses are glued. Just make sure that you apply just a drop of glue in the middle of the label. Like that the ends of the label would look easy and loose. I didn’t have Kisses labels at that time so I made these by hand.
A simple stitch is done in between the placed labels just for effect. The card is brought together by a “happy anniversary” message at the bottom.
I am a little confused about what card should I make for our this year’s anniversary. I was thinking something around Frank and Claire Underwood since both of us are House of Cards fan, but the trailer for the latest season has got me thinking otherwise.
Any suggestions?
Idea inspiration from Better Homes and Gardens.

@jhwinterauthor yeah you are right about sticking clothes, nobody wants to get married in summers in Delhi!
Thank you for visiting my blog, Ink & Stitches (http://blog.jhwinter.com)! I love yours, so I’m glad you found me first. It’s nice to see what other crafters come up with and this is such a cute idea for an anniversary card! Your wedding sounds like it was a sweltering affair. I got a bit of a chuckle from the visual of all party attendants with their clothes sticking to them. As long as the bride (aka you) looked good, that’s all that matters 🙂
@pjlazos thanks! glad that you liked it!
@freya thanks a tonne! You guys love house of cards too! We should go on a double date sometime!
Great idea! Love the card!
Aha! Someone else who chose anniversary for their 1st contribution. And yours is so much more useful. Maybe Mrs.P and I should try that for our 53rd anniversary in September.
Love love love… Love the idea, love the card and love that you guys are also House of Cards fans 🙂
@franklparker A for Anniversary for you too! what a lovely coincidence. And 53rd! Well that’s an achievement in itself. May you and Mrs. P always stay blessed!
@ikshaa I love your start as well!
That’s really a good start for the challenge 🙂
