JAMIE OLIVER STUFFED FRENCH TOAST
I have recently came to the conclusion that Jamie Oliver is my favorite chef. I have tried following many others and enjoyed cooking with their recipes, but there is something about Jamie Oliver that is just extraordinary. It might be the ease with which he cooks, or being a vegetarian I like that he uses a lot of fresh greens. Or probably the fact that he uses phrases as ‘couple of lugs of olive oil.’ And I ask myself, “seriously! What is a lug?”
So I decided to make Stuffed French Toast from his recipe for a Sunday brunch. The picture on his website looked pretty delicious, so I thought of trying them out.
Serving – 2-3
You Would Need
3 bananas
2 tablespoon honey
1/2 cup almonds
6 slices of wheat bread
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
Butter
Powdered sugar
How to Go About it
Cut almonds into thin long slices. Peel and cut bananas into thin, but not too thin, slices (banana slices shouldn’t be thick but should be able to hold a little shape when mixed around).
Mix almonds, banana slices and honey together. Don’t mash them up and ensure that everything is nicely coated with honey.
Divide the mixture equally between 3 slices of bread. Top with 3 other slices to make sandwiches. Do not crowd the edges.
Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk in milk.
