Sunny Side Up Eggs – With Flower Power
Have you noticed that sometimes adding just a little extra thingy does wonders to a recipe? I make sunny side up eggs quite regularly as they are Little B’s most favorite of all egg preparations. To make them even more nutritious, appealing and frilly, all you need to do is add the flower power. Hence. Sunny Side Up Egg Flowers.
Sunny Side Up Egg Flowers
You Will Need
Capsicum (bell pepper) sliced in ½ inch rings
Eggs
Salt and pepper to taste
Butter/oil
How To Go About It
Heat a pan or a skillet, whichever you are using. Keep the heat on medium-low throughout.
Drizzle a little melted butter on the pan and place the capsicum ring on it.
Crack an egg in the middle of the ring.
If your yolk starts running, hold the ring down for about 10-15 seconds using a spatula. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top.
Cover the pan and cook for around 5 minutes till the egg firms up. Increase or decrease the cooking time depending on if you like your yolk runny or firmer.
